Our camp is currently in hibernation! Send us an email and we will get back to you.
Welcome to Rossön Fishing and Outdoor Camp directly at the big lake Lesjön!
Are you ready? Ready for a nature experience that has no equal.
Dive into the endless expanses of Swedish nature. Just on the border of southern Lapland, in western Ångermanland, lies our camp, surrounded by water and forests. Peace and untamed nature, fishing in gorgeous landscapes, regular visits from reindeer and every now and then a bear or moose….
A bit like the dream of the untouched nature of Canada – only in the middle of Europe.
Our focus is put on nature-based adventure tourism. We are happy to cater to your individual wishes – whether you want to spend a family vacation with us, catch big fish, hunt in and experience untouched nature, look for an inspiring place for a conference or a unique event venue.
Experience white nights on the water or, together with friends or family, at one of our fireplaces right by the lake. If you prefer it a little darker, head out into the winter, move into our cozy cabins, build a fire and watch for the Northern Lights in the dark night sky.
Fishing and Boats
All you have to do is to arrive – everything will be ready for you to start right away. From the accommodation you walk less than 50 meters to your boat. With Lake Lesjön you have 600 hectares of fish-rich water right outside the door. Pike, perch, aaland, burbot and others are what you are most likely to find in these waters.
For those of you interested in pulling out the fly rod – the nearby river is bound to fulfil you dreams and will offer you unforgettable hours and days.
More detailed information about the surrounding waters, their fish stocks and of course the boats that we have available for our guests can be found here.
Our camp is designed for sustainability! Detailed information about the rules can be found here! Just so much in advance – please leave your freezers at home!
We have four lovingly furnished and cozy houses for 2 to 6 people available for our guests. Perfect for relaxing after an exciting and wonderful day on the water or in nature.
The main house is the hub for all other needs. Common rooms with small, cozy corners to enjoy the evening together. And sometimes there is a piece of elk from the grill waiting to be tried out.
Here you will also find your contact persons and the souls of the camp – our „Chiefs of Camp“.
You can find more information about our accommodations here.
Wildlife and Nature Experience
Lesjön Fishing and Outdoor Experience Camp is not only a fishing paradise with capital predatory fish, but also an El Dorado for nature lovers, outdoor enthusiasts and all those who long for peace and quiet! (And are not necessarily deterred by a few mosquitos).
Reindeer, moose, bears, ospreys – everything your heart desires can be seen in and around the camp. Reindeer, for example, are regular guests directly in the camp. Bears and moose can best be admired from one of the observation huts – rustic and immersed in nature.
Learn more about forays through the deserted nature, bushcraft activities, tracking and the endless possibilities to fill a day without fishing with activities for big and small boys and girls.
Both our camp itself and the surrounding area offer endless possibilities. Fancy a barbecue evening at the camp? Or how about a sauna visit directly at the lake? In the end, of course, everything here revolves around nature and the experience of nature.
First of all, in Rossön itself there is everything needed for a stay at the camp – an ICA supermarket, a fishing store and a gas station.
If you want to explore the surrounding countryside, you will of course find plenty of opportunities. You always wanted to set foot into Lapland? Then, for example, a trip to Dorotea – also known as the „Gateway to Lapland“ – should be added to your to-do list. If you want to drive a bit further, a visit to famous Vildmarksvägen with a breathtaking stop at the Stekenjokk plateau is worthwhile.
On a trip to Östersund, for example, a visit to the Jamtli Museum or a little stroll through the city center is worthwhile. The hilly surroundings also offer many opportunities for hiking fans.
